Guest Speaker from Indonesia: Damairia Pakpahan

Athens (2/06/2007), the Center for Southeast Asian Studies and the Women's Studies program at Ohio University presented a talk by Damairia Pakpahan entitled, "(En)Gendering Justice: Life, Work, and the Women's Movement in Indonesia."

The talk was held on Wednesday, February 6 from 5:10-6:30pm at Baker Center room 243. Moderated Dr. by Elizabeth Collins, the lecture was attended by about 75 students.

Damairia Pakpahan is an Indonesian activist who works on, among other things, migrant and domestic workers' issues in Indonesia. Currently, she is a fellow at the International Center for Tolerance Education in New York.
